You Really Can Make a Difference!

All parents and staff automatically become members of our Parent-Teacher Association. This involvement is a vital part of school life. Your partnership and contribution can be as much or as little as you are able to give but all support and help is invaluable. Teachers, classroom assistants, secretary, cook, lunchtime assistants, caretaker, governors and parents are working together to enrich and develop the learning opportunities for each child.

We now have a completely refurbished library thanks to PTA contributions

A magical event. The lantern parade weaved it's magic through the dark with the children leading the way to culminate in a spectacular evening of bonfires, witches, monsters and culinary delights!

Here the children show off the dragon and lanterns made by the children with the marvellous creative support of parent Debbie Ashcroft.

A Living Shelter

Pupils, staff, parents and friends braved the elements to create a living willow structure that should provide an interesting focal point for the community . Situated in the adjoining Jubilee Field the sculpture forms the first part of plans to improve the environment. The addition of a new adventurous play area and the construction of a permanent wooden 'bandstand' shelter should enhance the quality of play times.

Planting Willow.

Crucially willow should be planted before spring.

Checking that the base of the stems were well implanted.

Willow needs to be tied back and pruned to ensure the desired shape develops.

The 'bandstand' shelter beginning to take shape. It should be able to accommodate 20 children or more for outdoor activities providing protection from the 'elements'.

Now its a wonderful place to play, perform and and shelter.
