Dear Parents
Last week, the school was visited by Steve Manning. In the morning he took Class 2 for story telling and drama based on the Vikings. In the afternoon, he ‘became’ Isambard Kingdom Brunel. We also completed our cluster visits to Hidden Valley, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Thankfully all trips were blessed with good weather.
Finally, please note that the school office will be unattended on Thursday 26th June, Friday 27th June and Monday 30th June.

Sports Day On Thursday 26th June, weather permitting, we will be holding Sports Day. This year we intend to use the morning for a football & netball tournament, as well as the normal activities in the afternoon. Please ensure that all children have suitable clothes to change into, including trainers. All parents and friends are welcome to watch the activities. We would also be grateful if any parents could assist us in the afternoon with scoring, distributing stickers or manning the finishing line. If you think you can help, please see Mr Reardon. Thank you. Sports afternoon will start at 2.00pm

We would appreciate it if parents of the selected team, could pick up their children from the school at 12.45pm to take them to the Leisure Centre. Permission slips are enclosed with the newsletter.
CYCLE CLUB: WPC Chinn is able to offer children from years 3 & 4 a playground based session, which will teach basic balance, control and safety skills. It is not designed to teach children how to ride on the road, but as a preliminary to Cyclewise.
The club will start on Tuesday 24th June from 3.30pm – 4.30pm and will continue until 8th July. All children will need their own bikes, and helmets which can be brought to the school in the morning if needed. Registration forms are enclosed with the newsletter and should be returned to the school before the club begins. Children will not be able to take part unless we have a signed form.
